- 500 gr bread flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 25gr butter diced
- 1 egg
- 280 gr milk lukewarm (heat for 20 sec in microwave)
20 gr yeast
1. (Wed 8:15) Put flour, salt and sugar in a bowl and mix. Rub in the butter with your fingertips. Make a well in the flour mixture. Put part of the milk in the flour with the crumbled yeast. Mix milk and yeast with some of the flour. Add the egg to the mixture. Add the remaining milk, combine all to form a soft but not sticky dough. You may need some additional milk. Knead for 2 minutes and leave to rise for 30 minutes in a warm place.
2. (Wed 8:50) Divide the dough in 2 parts and form into 2 balls.
Leave to rise for 40 minutes.
3. (Wed 9:30) bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven at 210 C.
