Fast and simple bread (could be my version of basic bread).
- 800 g white bread flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 20 g yeast
- 250 g milk
- 250 g water
1. Start by mixing flour and salt. Crumble in the yeast. Add the milk and most of the water (3/4). Mix to a firm dough not too sticky, add more water a spoonfull at a time if too dry. Turn out on work surface and knead for about 3 minutes.
Form into a smooth ball and leave to rise for 40 minutes.
2. Turn out the dough on a floured surface and form into a loaf.
Leave to rise for 50 minutes.
3. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 200C for about 33 minutes.
